Clearshield® WPF Clear - transparent windscreen protection on a roll
Protect windscreens, glass roofs and other vehicle glass against stone chips, road debris, scratches and everyday wear with a flexible, optically clear TPU film from Solar Gard®. The roll measures 8 metres x 1.22 metres and normally covers approximately 4-6 windscreens or glass roofs, depending on the size and shape of the glass and material usage.

Takes the first impact
The durable film absorbs and distributes force from smaller stone chips and road debris before the impact reaches the glass.
Optically clear
The TPU layer is designed for very low distortion and a smooth, clear view through the vehicle glass.
More than 99 % UV protection
The transparent Clear film blocks more than 99 % of UV radiation and helps protect passengers and the interior.
Conforms to curved glass
The flexible and slightly stretchable material adapts smoothly to curved and more complex glass surfaces.

The roll contains 9.76 m² of transparent Clear film and provides an efficient material format for several windscreens or glass roofs. Actual consumption depends on the dimensions and shape of the glass, how the pieces are positioned on the roll, and waste during cutting and installation.

PROTECT THE ORIGINAL GLASS
Especially valuable on expensive and difficult-to-replace windows
Windscreen replacement on modern passenger cars may require calibration of cameras and advanced driver assistance systems, known as ADAS. On trucks, buses and work vehicles, large or specially shaped windows can also be very expensive, difficult to source and time-consuming to replace. By helping protect the original glass against smaller stone chips and wear, WPF can help reduce the need for repairs and replacements over time.
Protection reduces the risk - not every risk
No film can prevent every type of glass damage or stone chip. Very heavy impacts can still damage the glass.
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION RECOMMENDED
Read the installation instructions before starting
Clearshield® WPF Clear is supplied as roll material and cut to the shape of the glass. The film is wet-installed on the exterior of the glass. The glass must be cleaned thoroughly, and the film must be positioned and squeegeed using the correct technique for an even, optically clear and durable result.
A small amount of moisture may remain beneath the film immediately after installation. Temporary milkiness or haze is normal and usually disappears within a few days, depending on the weather and drying conditions.
CARE AFTER INSTALLATION
How to preserve the film's clarity and performance
Clean gently
First rinse away grit and larger dirt particles. Then wash with mild soap and water using a soft microfibre cloth or sponge.
Avoid strong and abrasive products
Do not use ammonia-based cleaners, strong chemicals, coarse cloths, brushes, scrapers or abrasive sponges on the film.
Never operate the windscreen wipers dry
Always wet the glass with washer fluid or water before using the windscreen wipers. A dry surface increases the risk of scratches and wear.
Do not use an ice scraper
Melt ice with a de-icer, the vehicle's defroster or lukewarm water. Remove it carefully with a soft cloth or gloves. Never use boiling water.
WARRANTY
Warranty by application area
Roof glass and side windows: up to a 5-year limited product warranty.
Windscreen and rear window: 1 year or a maximum of 12,000 km, whichever occurs first.
The warranty applies in accordance with Solar Gard's complete terms, limitations and requirements for correct installation and care.
IMPORTANT BEFORE ORDERING AND INSTALLATION
Check regulations and glass suitability
The product is transparent and uncoloured, but always check applicable local regulations before applying film to a windscreen or other vehicle glass. Also confirm that the film is suitable for the intended glass location and follow the complete installation instructions. WPF is not recommended for rear windows fitted with a rear wiper.
